Phone speeds by OOKLA fast exceed this sites noted data speed. I clocked 250 to over 350 consistently within towns. (352 down 43 up / 246 down 40 up w/5g; my worst was Christmas Day at 60 down 30 up and it dropped to LTE. But virtually every single person was off work. Good luck finding food. (Plan appropriately). “Don’t take your phone out” is some outdated advice… there are several people on the streets and in the metro using phones and taking pictures. Remember that nothing stays the same forever. Rio is safer than many people describe. Use your common sense.

Bali for grownups. It's perfectly safe. I could walk in 95% areas of Floripa at night with my phone taken out without any feeling of danger. Safer than Rio, for sure.
